You Can Touch This

From dancing on clouds, conga lines and rain forests to following the rabbit hole, riding a carousel and operating a steam shovel, revelers at the Please Touch Museum’s kickoff party reverted back to childhood (granted with an open bar). There is no way to take yourself too seriously while running in the hamster wheel or dancing on  the big piano from Big–and that was the whole point. Attendees got to escape the deep thoughts and heavy conversations of the day and days to come. That is until tomorrow. Sleep well, museumers!

A student with the Cooperstown Graduate Progam, I was fortunate enough to visit the Please Touch during its construction phase in Fall ’07. All the work that has been done is simply amazing and the museum is absolutely wonderful. This is my first time at AAM and the kick-off party was surreal! Thanks to AAM, Nancy Kolb and the Please Touch Museum! 🙂
