Philadelphia is a city that knows how to celebrate—whether it’s dining out during Restaurant Week, trolling for treasures during Antiques Week or lifting a pint or two for Beer Week.
Today, the City of Brotherly Love launched it’s very first Museum Week. Now through Sunday, May 3, 55 regional museums are offering special discounts on admission, shopping and other amenities. With the AAM conference coming to town, the public is encouraged to explore all the cultural gems Philadelphia has to offer from unusual pathological specimens at the Mütter Museum and a century old carousel at Please Touch Museum, to the great masterpieces at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the giant skeleton of Hadrosaurus foulkii at the Academy of Natural Sciences.
Museum Week is the perfect way for Philly to show that we are more than cheese steaks, soft pretzels and Rocky Balboa, so visit phillyfunguide for a full list of participating museums and see all we have to offer!—Silvana Pop, public relations coordinator, Please Touch Museum
